Who owns the code that I write, may I distribute it? If Microsoft owns the rights to my code what the hell is the point of writing it.

Hi,
You own all the rights to your code, you can do whatever you like with it. Sell it, eat it, post it online for everyone to see. Its yours, do what you want with it.
What you cannot do is sell the Microsoft DotNET framework or any part of it. You can, redistrobute the Framework with your software, as long as you are not selling it for profit.
